This artwork refers to the famous painting called Italian cemetery at dusk (org. Cmentarz włoski o zmroku), which has been created by Adam Chmielowski in 1880. Chmielowski was a polish monk, deeply engaged in organizing food and shelter for the homeless and destitute. For his social practice he was officially recognized as a Saint by the Catholic Church in 1989. The title of my painting (created in 2021) can be translated into Chmielowski is spinning in his grave.
